I joined him for two weeks of the trip, and two years later, we both were on the road together for two months, traveling the U.S., hiking, and staying mostly in National Parks. The connection with nature is essential for many people, and for your husband, it sounds like the physical challenge as well as the outdoors.Anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12588164536314320479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1391724559179617204.post-92105567449285328862010-06-09T10:51:32.927-04:002010-06-09T10:51:32.927-04:00B's just gotta be! The sense of wildness and isolation are like nothing I've ever experienced--and I grew up in the PNW. There's a palpable sense of how big it all is...and how small I am.

Anyway, just saying I'm not really a person who seeks the outdoors but I get the draw of Alaska.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1391724559179617204.post-66309301262313336732010-06-07T20:07:47.892-04:002010-06-07T20:07:47.892-04:00What is it about the wilderness that awakens us?
