I swore that when I came back to my old yoga class, I'd always be friendly to newcomers; reading this post reminds me I haven't done that enough. Thanks for making me uncomfortable (which, come to think of it, is what much of yoga is about).ruth pennebakerhttp://www.geezersisters.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1391724559179617204.post-62294637829494732232010-08-15T17:01:14.605-04:002010-08-15T17:01:14.605-04:00i just got a pregnant yoga dvd from my sister in l...i just got a pregnant yoga dvd from my sister in law, which now i am inspired to do today.Maggie Mayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14699674732274478502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1391724559179617204.post-89004703915020416332010-08-14T15:37:01.306-04:002010-08-14T15:37:01.306-04:00I'm wondering if it has anything to do with di...I'm wondering if it has anything to do with differences between the disciplines. Does yoga tend to attract a different sort of person than tai chi does? Does the attitude of the teacher have an effect? Or do you think the differing atmospheres are an accidental result of the different people assembled in each group?

I like the way you avoid actually saying what that woman's opinions on those subjects was.Momnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1391724559179617204.post-15352307595532797962010-08-13T16:50:35.557-04:002010-08-13T16:50:35.557-04:00I have had similar experiences with the running cl...I have had similar experiences with the running club I joined. Some people feel cliquish and others are very welcoming. I love the latter group of people. I think that some of the people who seem cliquish to me might just be a little more reserved and more comfortable with people they know, or that's what I tell myself to make me not dislike them. But I so so appreciate the people who do reach out and try to draw the new people in.life_of_a_foolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05427532203981697246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1391724559179617204.post-61271488648880625662010-08-13T09:29:57.334-04:002010-08-13T09:29:57.334-04:00More. It must have been tough to relax while she was rattling on. Your tai chi class sounds much more inclusive and welcoming to new people. I like that attitude.Juliehttp://juliebuff.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.com
