Name That Boy

***update: Reasons and rationales for the current name choices:
Angel - Boy's suggestion and I have no idea.
Drama - A monikor boy has used previously
LOL - Something I came up with in the moment in an attempt to annoy/embarrass Boy
Mr. Mister - What we called Boy when he was a baby and his real name didn't fit yet.
Harvey - The invisible rabbit.
[Thanks K8]

Last week Boy was in my room as I was blogging about our beach trip. Now Boy has known about my blog from the start and does not mind me blogging about him or, as it turns out, including a photo or two. (BTW blue milk has an excellent post on blogging your children) However it seems that he does mind his monikor. Unbeknownst to him, I had been thinking "Boy" really wouldn't fit once he was in college.

We brainstormed a few alternatives but did not reach a consensus. So I've included a poll on the sidebar with some of the choices. I'll leave it up until his departure day (August 20th for those of you keeping track) and then announce the winner. Please vote your choice. I'm also open to suggestions if you have any.

Are there reasons or rationales for the choices listed in the poll? That might sway my vote.

What if there was a modifier in front of "Boy" that made him sound more like a superhero?

Hahaha. Love that he doesn't mind you blogging about him but does mind his psuedonym - makes me think there is no predicting this generation.

I cant vote for drama (he's too sweet for that one - now mine on the other hand...), I like LOL, but that might be confusing to new readers, Mr. Mister is the best - but I would go with Mr. Man. Just an opinion mind you, but I like it.

Mr. Mister is cute, and since it's a long standing family nickname, very cool. My only caveat is that it was the name of an '80's band. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Mister Did you know that and nickname him that purposely? Not sure if it would then be confusing or if it would clash with his personality?

That's so nice that you two get along so well! Now that you've given us the reasons behind the names, I think I'm going to go with the one he suggests, since it's about him. What a great sense of humor he has. This is fun.

Angel? Does that mean he's a Buffy The Vampire Slayer fan?

MoxieMama - No we had no idea there was band named Mr. Mister when we started calling him that. I have no idea why we did, other than it just fit. I only found out about the band when I met b and he told me.

Lee - Nope he's not a Buffy fan. He told me he thought of Angel because his real name starts with A and he's my Angel. Go figure.

Keep the votes coming. Those of you in Florida your votes count twice anyway, so have fun.
