- Yoga Level 2 classes are a lot harder than Yoga Level 1-2 classes.
- A good teacher makes all the difference.
- If you exercise all the time your body hurts all the time. If you don't exercise at all your body hurts all the time. One hurt feels good; the other hurt feels old.
- If I work out around people my age or older I feel a lot better about my body (sorry to admit that one but very true).
- I hate television news.
- People following an aerobics class look silly, especially if you can't hear the music. It is best not to watch (or to think of being watched if you participate).
- Treadmills are more boring than elliptical machines (I have no idea why, but also very true).
If you see a whole thing - it seems that it's always beautiful. Planets, lives... But up close a world's all dirt and rocks. And day to day, life's a hard job, you get tired, you lose the pattern. - Ursula K. LeGuin

Yerghghgh... I'd write a blistering retort to this... but... so tired... crawling to desk... fingers... hurt... yrhghghghghg...
Hi Brigindo,
I've decided to copy and paste, print # 3, and post it on my refrigerator, as a constant reminder. I was also drawn to "One hurt feels good; the other hurt feels old." And I have no blistering retort- I love it! (I'm aching right now- aside from my knee- from LACK of exercise.)
I find the elliptical less boring, too. But I prefer the treadmill. Mostly it's because I can read while running on the treadmill, but can't on the elliptical. Oh and I was laughing at #6. That is so true-- as Dr. Man can attest. :)
I hate both the elliptical and the treadmill. But, I prefer the treadmill. I think because a) it's harder to cheat, and b) it takes more effort and focus (maybe because of the lack of cheating and the desire to not fly off the back), which means it's less boring to me. The elliptical is too bouncy to read (as is the treadmill for me), which removes its one possible benefit. And, I've yanked my knees in bad bad ways on the elliptical, which also makes me hate it.
Also, I've thought too much about this. I can't wait for spring.
I also love #3. It's great advice. And yes, good teachers are like gold!
