If you see a whole thing - it seems that it's always beautiful. Planets, lives... But up close a world's all dirt and rocks. And day to day, life's a hard job, you get tired, you lose the pattern.- Ursula K. LeGuin
Hi Brigindo, I watched the clip last night. I woke up this morning, still disturbed, thinking of the young woman the speaker still feels guilty about, and I'm glad he carried this guilt into adulthood, and came to realize he didn't want his daughter growing up in a world where women are objectified, subject to victimization or domination, or his son to grow up to be that kind of man. It all culminates in the final statement: if I get out of this "manbox" I will be free.

That was so right on.
That was awesome. Thank you for sharing the link.
Great. So touching, that openness and honesty. Only question--why was it an audience of women and not of men?
It was from a talk he gave at TedWomen. I don't know why we needed a TedWomen but it seems we had one.

I hope it gets to give it again to "TedMen" and "Tedboy". Seriously, to lots of men and especially lots and lots of boys.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing!
